Ashley, this story rips my heart out. These kind of events in our lives irreparably change everything forever. You will never be the same again. I think I told you when I was 20 my blind boyfriend died in a fire that burned down his house. I was suppose to spend the night with him but instead chose to stay at my mom's because I had a meeting at the restaurant I was working at early in the morning and she was closer. Our last conversation was so banal, so un-meaningful and if I had only known that would be it?! That morning I got to the house while they were still putting out the fire and was with his mom; we were looking for him. Then the fire chief came over to tell us his body was found. We were under a tree as a matter of fact. And I don't know what was worse - losing him or seeing his mother's reaction to losing her son? This is seared in my heart and soul and I cannot shake it. My lesson, like yours, is to never to say 'what if" in my life. To take chances and live it to the fullest and to tell people how much they mean to me. Like you, my new dear friend, are a wonderful person, beautifully sexy, awesomely talented, funny as all get out and smart as a whip. I feel so lucky to have you in my life...

love you, Cat
